2021 saw the Livery Fair situated alongside the Sheep Drive on Southwark Bridge for the first time.
Feedback on the location and overall event was amazing, surpassing all our expectations and we are exited to have the opportunity to have full access to the bridge again in 2022.
2021 Stall Holders included Liveries (some of whom sponsored partner organisations/college students/award winners or small businesses), blade shearing and weaving demonstrations, livestock and an interesting selection of stall holders talking about and selling their wool and textile related products and crafts.
At our 2021 event, we were delighted that our special guest Amanda Owen, The Yorkshire Shepherdess, was signing her latest title: “Tales From the Farm” at the Waterstones book stall.
All of this took place next to the re-enactment of Freemen exercising their right to drive their sheep over the Thames to market.
Public entry to the Livery Fair and viewing of the Sheep Drive (a rare and wonderful opportunity afforded by the full closure of Southwark Bridge), was Free of Charge!
